Dr. Lindsey Franz

Dr. Franz has been interested in veterinary medicine ever since she was six years old, when she went with her parents to take her Beagle puppy to see the veterinarian for the first time.
After that, she took every opportunity to explore veterinary medicine. During her senior year in high school in Granite Bay, California, she completed a year-long course in veterinary careers and worked as a veterinary assistant at the same veterinary clinic that she took her Beagle to. While she worked toward earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, she was able to continue gaining field experience in veterinary medicine by working with a feline practitioner involved in shelter medicine in Sherwood, Oregon, emergency and general clinicians at Newberg Veterinary Hospital, and a veterinarian board certified radiation oncologist in Beaverton, Oregon.
Dr. Franz earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. During her studies, she found that her passion was in small animal general medicine. After graduating, she completed a one-year internship at Sisters Veterinary Clinic in Sisters, Oregon. In 2014, Dr. Franz moved to Florence where she worked as an associate veterinarian for five years at Oceanside Veterinary Hospital, a small animal general practice. In 2019, she left Oceanside to gain experience working as an associate veterinarian in an urgent care/emergency care facility at Hanson Meekins Animal Hospital Coos Bay. In 2021, Dr. Franz had the opportunity to join Eastgate Veterinary Clinic in Corvallis.
In her spare time, Dr. Franz enjoys running, hiking, sketching, and cuddling and playing with her Italian greyhound, Honey. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Franz is very grateful for the opportunity to become a member of the Eastgate Veterinary Clinic team and to serve the animals and people of Corvallis and surrounding areas.
